Busted Up Turkey

Here was a good test for Brian mounting his first turkey alone. This bird had excellent feather quality but the shield feathers were totally shot off.

Here is a shield we are using for a replacement from a spare bird:


Brian had to cut out the old skin in order to place the new shield:

Here is a picture of the bird after the patch has been completed and the back feathers have been preened:




Brian did an excellent job with this turkey.  Putting the patch in the shield made this a very nice full strut mount that the customer will be very happy with.
