Best One I Have Taken

Since late October we have been getting several photos of a nice 11 PT that I was hoping to be able to harvest.  Nearly all of the pics have been in the dark but this evening he showed his face in daylight.

My last photo of him was just this week fighting another buck.

He came in this evening with two small bucks.  After holding the gun for 10 minutes I was finally able to take the shot with my muzzleloader.  I felt as though it was a good shot but he took off up the hill.  We had no blood to follow as there was no exit.  We went to the area we had last seen him, about 80 yds up and came across him.

Bear

Looks like he was back again on 10/4.  We got him on camera in 2 different spots this night and caught some video as well.

Upper Potomac

Went back out on the upper Potomac yesterday.  Water conditions were good, little windy, but managed to catch a few nice ones.  I caught my best one yet.

Upper Potomac

Jeremy took us out on the Upper Potomac last evening and it was a great night.   No wind, water clarity was awesome and the fish were biting.  All total we caught over 40 fish.

Lower Pototmac

Went to the Lower Potomac on Saturday.  We fished Mattawoman Creek.  We put a few fish in the boat but overall it was pretty slow.

Brooke's First Entry in Taxidermy Competition

We are so proud of Brooke.  Daddy is entering a piece for the first time in 4 years.  Brian is entering a deer for the first time and Brooke has decided to make an entry into the Wildlife Art category.  She decided which half cast she wanted to paint.  She choose Sunfish because she has lots of experience with them and knew the colors to use.  She started her project yesterday.  She took her time and really concentrated.  She definitly has Daddy's skills when it comes to art.

She has more work to do this evening.  Put some gloss on the fish and do her habitat on her canvas.  She has come up with the idea of what to put on her canvas.  We are so proud of her doing an awesome job painting.  We were afraid it would not even look like a Sunfish.   Maybe she can enter this in the fair this year as well.
