Great time at the NRA Show & Upcoming Banquets

We had a great time at the NRA show this weekend. We enjoyed talking to everyone who stopped by to talk. We are going back in this morning to finish tearing down. Our next stop will be the Eastern Sheep Foundation Banquet which is February 16th - 18th in Hunt Valley, MD and also the Mid Atlantic Bowhunters Chapter - SCI on February 18th in Leesburg, VA. It seems to happen every year where we have two banquets at one time. That's okay, we have it all worked out and will be able to be at both. Please let us know if anyone is interested in attending the FNAWS Convention as we can get you a free one day pass.

NRA SHOW THIS WEEKEND

Who all will be attending? 

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the show.  As of right now doesn't look like any snow in the forecast.  The past 2 years we have had snow so it will be nice if it ends up being 50 degrees and sunny.

Well typically our blog is about what is going on in the studio.  However, it's not all work, sometimes we play.  Daddy wanted to go bow hunting last evening, but Brooke quickly changed that.  She said, I quote, "but Daddy you never spend any time with me".  That is all it took and Daddy decided he was not going hunting.  We wanted to do something so we decided to call Brian and Les and see if they would like to go bowling at a new spot in Hagerstown.  After we picked Brian and Les up we had a good dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  I warned Brooke she better be good at dinner because we had a special surprise for her.  That she was!!!!!  She was excellent at dinner.  We then went to Seven Ten, http://www.710bowl.com/.  Brooke had an absolute blast.  There were many high fives.  Sad part is the first game she beat Mommy, Les & Brian.  Daddy was in 1st Place and there Brookie was in 2nd place. 

It is so nice to have an employee, Brian + his better half, Les.......that you can also have a friendship with outside of work and have a great time. Thanks Brian and Les!!!!!!  We had a great time.  Here are some pics from our night.

 

FIRST DUCKS MOUNTED FROM THE 2011-2012 SEASON

Here are some of the first birds being mounted from the 2011-2012 season.  These birds will be complete and displayed at the NRA show this coming weekend at the Frederick Fairgrounds.

Just discussing their week and the plans for next week.  Next week will be very busy with getting pieces mounted, finished and setting up for the NRA show at the end of the week.

So we were trying to get some photography done in the studio today.  While we were doing this our little girl was hard at work.

So we worked thru the rest of the afternoon.  All in all we made good progress.  We now have to wait for it to thoroughly dry, then we will rebuild scale detail on the seams and any areas of shrinkage.  We will then do airbrushing as needed.
