Some Work in the Shop

Some of these poses were different from what has been done in the past but Brian did a great job with getting them posed like the customer requested.

Here is a dead mount that Brian completed last week.  Our customer will be pleased with this.

Tim and another taxidermist in the area, Paul Rhymer, mounted this Mexican Gray Wolf for a museum in Las Cruses, NM on Saturday.  The Wolf is in the drying stage right now.  We will post more pictures as it progresses.

Lots Going On

First I'm sorry because I know it has been a while since we have posted.  We have had a lot going on since January.  Lots of shows & SCI Banquets.

In the shop this week we are finishing up the Gator and a Leopard.

The Gator we posted several weeks ago after it had been mounted.  The drying process is looonnnggg.  It has also been a long process to complete the finish work.  However, it is coming along nice.  This piece of work will be on display at the National Capital Chapter - SCI this weekend in Lansdowne, VA

Above is Tim doing habitat work for the gator.  Pictures will be posted later of the completed piece together.

Also on display we will have a Leopard that has just been completed.  The Leopard will be up on a limb.  This picture is an artificial limb that Tim and Brian have had to modify.  Brian made a mold of the "bark" so that he could then use this mold to complete the limb.  Pictured below is Brian placing the molds on the limb and waiting for them to set for about 3 minutes and then move on to the next area.

This piece will also be on display this weekend at the banquet.  We will post pictures later of the completed piece on this as well.

Eastern Chapter Wild Sheep Foundation

So we went to Hunt Valley yesterday and set-up our booth at the Eastern Chapter Wild Sheep Foundation.  We will be there today, Friday & Saturday.

Also on Saturday evening we will be attending the Mid-Atlantic Bowhunters Chapter of SCI in Leesburg, VA.

Going to be a busy next couple of days with displays at both, but hopefully it will all be well worth it.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Pictures from our Weekend

Here are some pictures of some set-up of our booth and how it looked when we were complete.  Brooke was a great little help with cleaning the carpet.  We want to thank Brian, Les, Pop Pop (Donald) & Nana (Donna) for all their help this weekend with the show.  We appreciate it!
